#17
Always chasing
That running hand
The clocks
And yours
Chasing minutes
And moments
That are
Always moving onwards
#18
Another blossom in bloom
And spring upon the horizon,
But i can't stop thinking of our garden
And why it stopped growing
It seemed so simple
Soil and seed,
Water and sunlight,
Was it time? Was it care?
Take me back to the garden
im ready to toil
#19
Skipping stones
Across puddles over the pavement
Its not the same as the lake
But its a game all the same
Skip the stones
Wait for the bell
Count the ripples
Remember the time
Remember the grip
Remember his skips
From shore to shore
Long Summer days
On a short Summer vacation
With him.
Skip the stones
In this drizzly city
Count the skips
Make a wish,
Skip me to Summer.
#20
When i think of my family,
And how our lives intertwine,
It gives me comfort,
And pride,
And reminds me
That we rose together
From the absolute dirt of our pasts,
And that the only way we found our way upwards
Was by supporting one another
And reaching for the Sun
