i watch her,
the spotted gardener, gently
pulling, digging, and thoughtfully
sowing away my sorrows.
With patience she plants and
smiles down rays, upon rays,
whispering “someday, someday.”
#286
Like lightning the calls are answered,
friendship from afar, the bell tolls,
and the brothers rally, no one falls alone,
we speak in jest, we poke, we prod,
we love unconditionally, we weep,
we question, we hold it all down,
we are the safety net, we are the reminders
we are the mirrors, we are the lanterns,
we take turns
we are not ready to give up.
#287
Oh and may the suffering
continue to rain down down down
upon me, and let my smile radiate up,
they past my vessel to the future
the strength of the haul fortified from
the love of friends, of family, built in
good will, painted with kind spirited intentions,
oh, the Hells, the storms, as the Heaven’s pour,
daylight suffocated from the darkest clouds,
though i will not despair, the light is there,
i am bound for the break within it all.
The peace i seek, is the peace within me,
never fear, fare thy well, Ocean’s mean nothing,
to the will, to the heart.
#288
i wonder how long i can
sit here. Calm, waiting,
holding a frame disguising
the screaming madness
following the drumbeat
of a head slamming itself
against the wall, bang bang,
show me something, lift me
higher away from the this
ocean of boredom on this
beautiful, blue skied afternoon!
#289
i think about it often,
the way those sparks
soared, a ballet,
round and round the
smoking sandalwood,
we were close,
close enough to feel
the heat, but far enough
to keep safe from one
another, under that full moon,
it felt as if the stars and surrounding
universe shown its spotlight
down down down
and was watching, waiting.
