#350
Marked and lifted,
a pristine glaze
a pond, a pool,
a polished mirror
that beckons their
gaze, calls for reflection
when the eyes shine
and that window
becomes a looking glass,
their recognition,
amplifies they’re celebration
#351
When the knock doesn’t come
the phone doesn’t ring,
the pacing quiets, the kettle cools,
the clock chatters, the mind circles,
remember misery loves company,
and time spent alone is to be cherished
let the conversation you need continue,
let the drink flow and the food cook
welcome the silence, and entertain the solitude
wait on no one, save your self.
#352
Caution, theres room for it,
and yet sometimes we move too slow,
our fear halting us, tipping the balance
dropping us to the concrete.
Move, love, with the speed of trust
implore faith in your self, your step
and should you fall, should you collapse,
that your will shall let you rise ever again.
#353
Oh come ye,
i reach forth for thine
dancing shadow,
out of reach, out of grasp
the wind through mine fingers,
the waltz doth quiet
with pause, and rest
laying down upon the grass
is where i embrace that
shadow best.
#354
Pursed lips, the quiet one
now so loud, a colossus,
the unnoticed now the undeniable,
a transformation, a path,
cocooned in time, doubt, and ache,
draped in heights, perspective, and breathe,
oh the path may end
but the journey never does,
we march for to death,
and the peaking heights in-between.
