#400
The emotions are never far from me,
i feel them all at once, the fury,
the elation, the sorrow, hopeless,
courageous, proud, broken, i am
Feeling
Intense
Never-ending
Emotions
i am fine, i am fine with it,
i am, and have accepted it.

Crossing a lit bridge
headed away from the crisp
autumnal city, my friends
exquisite apartment, still warm
from the oven as it baked
garlic bread, tomatoes, crispy Brussels sprouts
the twang of homemade
secret recipe
vegan macaroni and cheese,
the echoes of my favourite records
dancing amongst Bowie’s sing-a-long howls,
an evening with the French,
an evening with the few,
an evening i’ll long for, for years to come.

i could see her
glances whenever i
glanced away.
The scratches of
her pencils
as she sketched me
Shy, soft spoken,
said not a word,
honours like this
i just don’t deserve.

What a visit. What a trip.
What are the chances
that we all really meant it.
#404
Bitter old fashions
soundly rock and roll
swaying beauties rambling
with old friends,
the memories,
the tequila,
chasing old dreams with hope,
i wish some hours would never end.
